Description
ACTUAL ASTROPHOTOGRAPH
Wispy hues of deep-red and delicate blues of gas and dust surround the bright inner core of a stellar nursery, an area of new star formation.
Located in the constellation Orion and visible with the naked eye this astronomical object has been the subject of much folk-lore and superstition as well as scientific study.
I re-did this image to better capture the fine details and it consists of 10 exposures stacked together and hours of digitally processing the raw data and manipulating the final output.
