New Jersey IStock Photographer Jim DeLillo Ventures Into Space

Oakland, NJ (PRWEB) March 20, 2009 -- Jim DeLillo an exclusive photographer for iStockphoto (http://www.istockphoto.com/jimd_stock?refnum=jimd_stock) has literally reached for the stars to add a new niche to his portfolio. A resident of Oakland, NJ, DeLillo uses remote telescopes located as far away as New Mexico and Australia to image the heavens.

Objects he photographs may be millions of light-years away. DeLillo subscribes to several services including Lightbuckets.com (http://www.lightbuckets.com) and Global-Rent-Scope.com (http://www.global-rent-a-scope.com).

These facilities rent time on large computer-controlled telescopes under dark skies, areas somewhat protected from the ravages of light pollution. The remote telescope services are available to anyone.

To make his photos, DeLillo logs on to his computer at home, and via a web interface, directs the telescope to the object of interest. He selects the point in the sky, the color of the...
